Vladimir Vassilev, the Bulgarian born Bass, started his musical training in his hometown, Sofia, at the Music Academy under the tutelage of Prof. Iliya Iossifov.
After finishing his studies in Rome with Boris Christoff, Mr Vassilev made his debut in 1997 in Vienna singing Crespel in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann. Following several Engagements in different famous opera and festivals. Many years he worked together with Conductors as: Kenneth Montgomery, Sylvain Cambreling, Ernst Märzendorfer, Riccardo Muti and stage-directors as: Einar Schleef, Gianfranco De Bosio, Peter Zadec, Luca Ronconi, Giuseppe Frigeni. Vladimir Vassilev is living in Basel, Switzerland.
